At Malpaga Castle you can enjoy an evening immersed in history, savoring dishes from ancient traditions served by attendants in period costume, with historic tableware, candlelit lighting, evocative settings, and fascinating rituals.
Throughout the year, you can take part in our historical dinners, choosing between the more classic Medieval Dinner and the esoteric Witches’ Dinner.
Our historical dinners can also be booked privately for corporate events and groups:
Medieval Dinner

A 15th-century–style historical dinner in the evocative Great Banquet Hall, featuring period dishes, furnishings, and tableware.
You will be transported to the heart of the Middle Ages: servers in period costume will present the dishes on large wooden serving trays, and the long table will be set with terracotta crockery and wooden cutlery, as was customary in the 15th century.
Each course is introduced by the Grand Seneschal, who explains its origins and entertains the guests with curiosities about ancient customs and traditions.
At the end of the dinner, a suggestive good-luck ritual linked to Spring will take place.
📜 MEDIEVAL MENU
First Service:
Biancomangiare, marzolino cheese flavored with preserves, the traveler’s cured meat, and dried fruit.
Second Service:
De Lasanis alle Rose: boiled egg pasta sautéed with walnuts, water and rose petals, Parmesan cheese, and nutmeg.
Third Service:
Honey-glazed wild boar with herbs.
Fourth Service:
Historic cakes, elixirs, and liqueurs by Brother Silvo.
Red wine from the hills · Country bread · Spring water
Witches’ dinner

A 15th-century–style dinner featuring rituals from the witches’ tradition.
Each course will be introduced by the Lady of the Game, who will explain the origins of the dishes and their connection to the witches’ tradition: aromatic herbs, spices, and ingredients held strong symbolic meanings, reinforced by ancient superstitions linked to witchcraft.
The dinner will be punctuated by highly evocative ritual moments that will lead us back to rediscover long-lost customs tied to the ancestral secrets of feminine wisdom.
The strictly historical menu will be prepared according to recipes recovered from ancient manuscripts.
The Castle’s Great Banquet Hall will host the large communal table, set according to medieval customs with period furnishings and tableware, candlelight, and themed décor. The atmosphere will be made even more evocative by the large, fully functioning 15th-century fireplace.
